At a very young age, Nicole discovered her true love: money, not for what it can buy but for what she can do with it. Her passion for getting more coins drove her to become more clever and the Zenless Zone Zero faction leader, Cunning Hares. Nicole knows how to manage her resources well for her build, team, and, above all, her earnings in ZZZ, but you will never see her get her hands dirty or spend a single coin. Although she prefers to spare her affection, she is a great leader and has a heart worth gold for friends and teammates. She will not hesitate to waste a fortune to save those she cares about.
Best W-Engines for Nicole Build in Zenless Zone Zero
As stingy as she is, Nicole knows the best places in ZZZ to find W-engines and equipment for her team and builds at reasonable bargain prices. Among her most prized weapons are:
The Vault (A-Rank) | Dealing Ether DMG using an EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate increases all squad members’ DMG against the target by 15% and increases the equipper’s Energy Regen by 0.5 per second for 2s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. |
Weeping Cradle (S-Rank) | While off-field, Energy Regen increases by 0.6 per second. Attacks from the equipper enhance the squad’s DMG against a struck target by 10% for 3 seconds. During this period, this effect is further increased by 1.7% every 0.5s, up to a maximum additional increase of 10.2%. Repeated triggers only refresh its duration without refreshing the DMG increase effect. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. |
Unfettered Game Ball (A-Rank) | Whenever the equipper’s attack triggers an Attribute Counter effect, all squad members’ CRIT Rate against the struck enemy increases by 12% for 12s. The bonuses triggered by the same type of passive effects do not stack. |
The Vault is the best option, not because it is her signature weapon, but because of the Ether DMG boost it gives the whole team when Nicole uses her EX, Chain Attack, or Ulti. On the other hand, Weeping Cradle boost is PEN Ratio and Energy Regen, which is more beneficial for the leader of the Hares. Meanwhile, Unfettered Game Ball improves CRIT Rate, as long as you have an Agent with an Attribute that neutralizes the enemy.
Best Discs
Among the few items Nicole doesn’t skimp on is having good discs. In her collection, these stand out:
Swing Jazz | 2-Pieces: Energy Regen increases by 20%. 4-Pieces: Launching a Chain Attack or Ultimate increases all squad members’ DMG by 15% for 12s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. |
Chaotic Metal | 2-Pieces: Increases Ether DMG by 10%. 4-Pieces: The equipper’s CRIT DMG increases by 20%. When any character in the squad triggers Corruption’s additional DMG, this effect further increases by 5.5% for 8s, stacking up to 6 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. |
Best Stats: Anomaly Mastery, Ether DMG, Anomaly Proficiency, PEN Ratio%, and ATK%.
Swing Jazz is, by default, the best musical accompaniment for any Anomaly Support if you plan to use Chain Attack or Ultimate constantly. However, if you want a boost to your Ether DMG and CRIT DMG, you better play Chaotic Metal at full blast.
Best Team Comps and Rotation
As long as Nicole is the leader of the Cunning Hares, any ZZZ Agent has a place in her team as long as they bring enough money. Although in the past, these units have performed better:
Anomaly Team | F2P |
---|---|
Anton – DPS Grace – Stun Nicole – Support | Billy – DPS Ben / Anby – Stun Nicole – Support |
Nicole is an excellent support unit, and you can use two strategies with her. You can start with this pink-haired girl to cast her Ultimate or Ex; the result will be similar, but you have to trigger the Assist to switch to your DPS with all of Nicole’s boost and debuff. The next tactic is the default one, where you use your Stun character, then Nicole’s Ultimate or Ex, and finish with the DPS.
Anomaly Team | F2P |
---|---|
Plugboo (S-Rank) Unleashes an EM cannon attack on the enemy, dealing Electric DMG and accumulating Electric Anomaly Buildup. | Avocaboo (S-Rank) Shoots juice bullets at the character currently on the battlefield. If the bullet misses, the juice will remain on the ground for a while. Characters coming into contact with the juice will recover HP. The recovery effect can only trigger up to 15 times per combat. |
Electroboo (A-Rank) Charges the enemy and continuously electrocutes the target, dealing Electric DMG and accumulating Electric Anomaly Buildup. | Amillion (A-Rank) Builds a machine gun and continuously shoots enemies, dealing massive Physical DMG. |
The Bangboo of the Anomaly team has better synergy with the Agents Electric of that team. Amillion works best when they have two Cunning Hares characters at the party, while with Avocaboo, you can gain HP. All of these cute companions work perfectly with Nicole, who, even though she is a free character at the beginning, has the potential to improve her build and capabilities as the ZZZ progresses. So keep this cunning hare in your team.
