The Nintendo Switch was released on March 3rd, 2017. The console rapidly sold out at every major retailer, and Nintendo has been working constantly to replenish stock. This has made buying a Nintendo Switch quite a chore for potential adopters of the console. Across the country, Nintendo is struggling to keep up with demand. However, it seems the Nintendo Store in New York City has no issue getting new consoles in stock.

The Nintendo Store in NYC is apparently immune to the stock woes that is plaguing stores across the country. For some, this could mean taking a short vacation to NYC to get a console. However, most people are going to have to continue waiting it out for their local store to replenish stock. Switch consoles have been flying off the shelves at online stores within minutes of stock replenishing emails being sent to potential buyers. Another option is going to eBay to buy the console at a premium, but you would have to be very impatient to pay over $400 for a console Nintendo is charging $299.99 for.
With the recent release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, demand for the Switch has grown even higher. If demand for stock wasn’t high enough already for Nintendo, knowing new adopters can snag a copy of the latest title in The Legend of Zelda Series, they definitely have a high hill to climb now. There have been minimal updates on when Nintendo will be replenishing its stock nationwide. New adopters of the Nintendo Switch who don’t reside in NYC will have to continue the waiting game for the foreseeable future. Want my advice?
