Every now and then, a business has to deal with a customer with an attitude. Usually, things will be handled before they can get out of hand. But one Ohio customer at a burger restaurant took things too far when he actually threw the product at a manager!
TikTok user Walkitlikeitalkittee posted the video on social media and was there, as an employee, to witness the interaction at Savvy Sliders. Their manager was clearly frustrated as she and her irritating customer were arguing. They started to record the moment after the man became irate about how his pizza was made, throwing it at the manager.
You can hear the customer demanding that he didn’t receive the seasoning he wanted for his pizza. The manager explains, “We don’t automatically put seasoning on it.” When he asks why, she explains, “Because it’s extra!” The customer tries to fight with the manager and tells her he told her he wanted “everything” on it, but she isn’t having it.
The manager then tells him he got everything he wanted and points to the door, saying, “Have a good night.” When he doesn’t leave, she tells him he isn’t getting a refund. He then threatens to call the police on them. To make matters even crazier, he even asks the manager for her phone to call the police on.
In a very brief update, you can hear the manager talking to police on the phone after the man finally left. Allegedly, the man’s friend came into the store to get him to leave before matters got worse. You can hear the manager telling the 9-1-1 operator that “he was drunk” and that they’re safe. At least it made that night exciting for everyone.
The Internet has a field day roasting the customer
As with many of these unpleasant customer interactions go, and it being ultimately harmless, people on social media had their fun roasting the customer. And given how the manager handled the situation, people were also very sympathetic. “Leave these poor fast food workers ALONE already,” one TikTok user wrote, which got a Like from the original poster.
Another person called out the customer for his ridiculous behavior. “And he ate the whole pizza before he complained,” they said. OP responded to the comment, stating the customer “had a piece left and a half piece.”
Several insisted this particular customer wouldn’t have been satisfied either way. “If you actually put EVERYTHING on the pizza he’d probably be pissed at the price.” Others accused the customer of just wanting “free pizza.”
Situations like these are a reminder that 1) fast-food workers aren’t paid enough to deal with this, and 2) if your order is wrong, just ask politely for it to be fixed. It’s not that hard!
