When your primary goal is to rid the world of the Stardust pollution that’s been plaguing it with strange and adverse effects, there’s quite a bit on your to-do list, including the Harvest Season quest in Once Human. Harvest Season gives you a firsthand look at how the crops are being affected by the Stardust, and whether or not they’re safe. You’ll need to head into Citrus County to check out the pollution levels for Hannah Garland. Let’s check out the whole process now.

Quest Location

Before you can begin Harvest Season, you’ll need to head out near Citrus County. Just before you get to the farm, you’ll come across a woman standing at an intersection with a blue quest waypoint symbol marking her on the map. Hannah’s location is South from Citrus County.

Starting the Quest

When you first approach Hannah Garland, you’ll have the option to either Leave or “Do Hannah a favor.” Choose to do her a favor to jump into the dialogue that explains exactly what you’ll need to do for the Harvest Season quest.

Hannah will go on to tell you that there is something that needs your help. More specifically, the Citrus County farm has been overrun with Deviants and Stardust. She goes on to tell you about how she left 12 years prior due to the Marauders and the pollution, but she has some unfinished business there. Her friends Peggy and Ben owned the farm before they fell victim to the Marauders, and in their honor, and to cure her homesickness, Hannah wants to see the Stardust disappear and restore life to Citrus County. This is where you come in.

Hannah believes that the levels of Stardust can decrease over time and wants to confirm her beliefs with solid evidence. You’ll need to test the Stardust residue found on the plants growing at the Citrus County farm.

Find the Meteorological Box in Citrus County

After you’ve finished talking to Hannah Garland, head up the hill toward the Citrus County farm. There, you’ll see some bales of hay that make way to the water tower that provides irrigation to the various crops planted around the farm. There will be a couple of enemies here to take out, but you can knock them down pretty quickly with a couple of shots with a crossbow (Bonus points if you land headshots).

Climb to the top of the water tower using the ladder, and make your way to the other side where the Meteorological Box can be found, which is labeled as Weather Detection Crate. Interact with the box to find out which crops are ready to be harvested. Be sure to pay attention at this point, because you don’t always get the same two crops.

For me, the Meteorological Box said that both Wheat and Corn were ready for harvesting. Again, this might not be the case for you, so pay close attention.

Now that you’ve got your two crops that need to be harvested, it’s time to get out there and start collecting them. You’ll only need to pick up one of each crop type, so you’ll only be collecting two crops in total.

Climb back down the ladder and search around for the fields that correspond with the two crops you need to collect, and pick up one of each type of crop.

After you’ve picked up one of each of the crops you’ll be testing, head over to the other side of Citrus County where you can find the mayor’s house. Inside, you’ll find some spiders, along with the Stardust Contamination Detector. Interact with the testing machine.

Now, things get a bit tricky. If you look at the bottom bar in the minigame marked Current Progress, you’ll see a number value on the far right side. This value indicates the sum of all the numbers that you must get. That said, using the buttons on the right side of the screen, move the bars around the circle until the bottom portion of it shows the correct sum.

The Yellow Bar should have the 6 portion of it highlighted. The Red Bar needs to have the 9 portion directly above 6, and finally, the Blue Bar needs to have the 7 portion below the other two.

After you’ve successfully gained entrance to the system, add in your two crops, then confirm the select. Take the report back to Hannah Garland outside of Citrus County, and you will have completed the Harvest Season quest.

Once Human is now available on PC.
