Reddit user Repulsive_Ad7148, a campus groundskeeper, filmed the wild pup following her around and shared it on r/mildlyinfuriating. Based on Britney’s suspiciously playful behavior, Repulsive_Ad7148 strongly believes someone is feeding her.
“Someone has made her too comfortable around people,” Repulsive_Ad7148 remarked. She claims she has used loud power tools in an attempt to scare Britney the coyote off, but to no avail. “This dog sneaks up on me and I’m afraid she’s going to playfully nip me or one of the many students walking around,” OP wrote worriedly. The thousands of Redditors tuning in to her post also shared the same concern.
“Would you happen to look sickly and or have a limp,” a commenter asked Repulsive_Ad7148, implying whether OP looks like weak prey for the coyote. “If a wild animal that isn’t normally seen alone or in daylight, stay away. It can be diseased, the biggest fear being rabies,” added another user.
A good number of Redditors expressed how lovable this wild animal looked, to which Repulsive_Ad7148 agreed. “Dude she is absolutely precious and I wish I could cuddle her.” However, as one person pointed out, that is far from a good idea. “It’s cute until somebody brings a toddler around.”

The Oregon groundskeeper claimed her manager contacted the local animal control agency but was told nothing can be done. OP explains the likely reason: “To be clear, this campus isn’t near a forest, it is IN the forest. There are wild animals everywhere.” In other words, attempting to relocate wildlife so close to its habitat would be a waste of time and money.
For now, Repulsive_Ad7148 says she’ll do her best to ignore the Britney, as trying to “scare” the coyote off could come off as a form of play for the animal. It might seem cute from a distance, but one commenter’s memory is certainly a warning for those wanting to feed or take in a wild animal. “It’s not adorable,” the Redditor recalled. “I was attacked by a coyote when I was about 17. knocked me down. Bit my hip, arm, and leg. My brother kicked it in the head to get it off of me.”
