A viral video out of Texas is drawing outrage after it seemingly showed a man and a bunch of women having an altercation in a restroom. The clip, posted to X by @Rightanglenews, picked up traction online, with viewers zeroing in on the man’s calm exit and the fact that a child was present throughout.
Some of the details surrounding the man’s appearance and motives are unclear, but it has since become a topic of discussion about the safety of the restrooms.
In the video, a man is seen inside a women’s restroom at what appears to be a business in Houston. The person filming says, “Is that man still in there? It’s a man in there. He just peeked out when I walked in. I’m trying to see if he got a child with him or something.”
Soon, another woman can be seen approaching the restroom in question and asking the man to leave. “You can’t be in there. You need to leave. Get out of the hallway,” she says.
Authorities have yet to identify the man, and it is unknown whether or not he was charged or what reason he had for being there.
The footage, shown in a split-screen format, constantly switches back to the man, sporting a beard, wearing a black t-shirt and black baseball cap as he walks towards the restroom entrance. There are several women, including one young child, who are seen walking in and out of the restroom during the altercation.
An on-screen caption on the video reads, “You go to Houston for ONE day and it’s already some BS.”
At the end of the video, the man is seen walking out of the area as people continue to stare at him in disbelief. It is unknown what occurred before the video began or the reason for his presence.
Internet Reacts to the Texas Restroom Video
The clip sparked a wave of reaction online, with many commenters praising the woman who confronted the man. One commenter wrote, “Good on that employee for forcing him out. no man should ever be waiting in a women’s stall when a little girl walks in. protect the kids.” Another pushed for the man to be publicly identified, writing, “Make him famous. This is a predator.”
Others focused on his demeanor while leaving. “He walked out like he owned the place,” one person wrote. A different commenter said the situation put parents in a difficult spot, adding, “That is a disturbing video. It’s a tough position to be in especially in front of your children. Personally, I would call the police first. Then let him explain himself to the police.”
Another simply called the incident “Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. He was there for a reason, and it was not a good one.”
According to Texas Penal Code §30.05, criminal trespass occurs when a person intentionally enters or remains on another person’s property without consent. In the video, the man is seen leaving after the confrontation, which would generally work against — not toward — a trespass charge under the statute.
As of this writing, no charges have been filed in relation to the case.
