We’re already half way through December, and Overwatch fans were starting to worry! But, never fear, Jeff Kaplan, heard your cries: The Overwatch Winter Wonderland event is now live with unique skins, sprays and festive game modes, new and old.

Following the traditional model, the event has been split into three weeks. Every week, three wins will earn you a festive icon; six wins awards you with a spray, and all nine wins guarantee the player an epic skin. The epic skins earned through wins are as follows:

  • Week one: Elf Junkrat
  • Week two: Gingerbread Ana
  • Week three: Frosty Roadhog

This Overwatch Winter Wonderland event also introduces a new game mode, 4v4 Freezethaw Elimination. In order to win, one team must completely freeze the other. Instead of dying, players remain frozen, and teammates have the ability to thaw each other out.

On top of the three Epic skins, five other Overwatch characters got new skins. The Penguin Mei, Ice Empress Moira, Conductor Reinhardt, Lumberjack Torbjörn and Toybot Zenyatta are all available along with skins from previous Winter Wonderland events.

Overwatch Winter Wonderland is live now, and it will run from Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 to Tuesday, January 5th, 2021.

Which Overwatch event is your personal favorite? Did you favorite character gets a Winter-ready skin this year? Let us know in the comments below, and keep coming back to The Nerd Stash for all of your nerdy news and needs!
