Despite having a lot of things in its base game and in the 1.0 version, we all know that the modding scene of Palworld is huge, and after so much time playing it, all of us already have a couple of mods that we need to add for every single playthrough. So, whether you’re returning to this survival/creature-collecting game or jumping in for the first time, here we have a list of 10 mods you should install for Palworld 1.0.
Disclaimer: We are showcasing mods from the Steam Workshop due to their ease of installation, and all of them require the UE4SS Mod to work.
1. Full Sphere Summon by MatthewOfJadeSpear

Let’s kick off with one of the most beloved ones, which restores many of the Palsphere throwing physics of old. It is more of a cosmetic and visual mod, but it also includes a few gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to aggro Pals. The only downside of this one is that it is only available for single-player, but the author has already mentioned that multiplayer is in the works.
2. Infinite Weight at Camp by MeatKebab

While we have nothing against a few “light cheat” mods, MeatKebab has found a way to create a mod that makes one of the most tedious aspects of the game disappear. Infinite Weight In Camp does precisely that: give you infinite carry weight while at your base. This is extremely useful, as you’ll be hauling a lot of things between stations, making it a must-have mod for Palworld 1.0.
3. Pal Mastery by Balbar

If you ever wanted more depth in Palworld, Pal Mastery adds a whole new RPG system to the game, allowing you to level your Pal’s stats up individually. You gain points through combat, giving you that feel of making each Pal in your team feel more powerful, as well as having more impact in what each Pal brings to the camp.
4. Creative Menu by Oak

A lot of survival games tend to have a debug menu or option to spawn things or modify certain parameters, but since Palworld 1.0 doesn’t have that one, Creative Menu is the one that fixes it for you. Basically, this utility allows you to modify Pal stats, spawn Pals, NPCs, items, and more, all from the comfort of one easy-to-use menu.
5. Map Unlocker by KoZ

A lot of us love the thrill of discovery, but after the tenth playthrough, it is only fair to make exploration a bit easier, and that’s what Map Unlocker is here for. As the name implies, this mod lets you unlock the entire map from the start, which is great if you want to start throwing markers or heading in one specific direction.
6. Currencies, Keys, and More are Key Items by Syzzle

You know how some key items end up taking precious inventory space, basically cluttering everything up? Yeah, that’s why this is another must-have mod for Palworld 1.0 that does one simple yet monumental change: make certain items go to the key items tab. Things such as keys or currencies will go to that tab, making your inventory much easier to manage.
7. Playable Pals by Primarinabee

We all know that Pal designs are superb, so it is only normal for players to want to don the Pal outfit and play as one. For that reason, we recommend adding Playabe Pals to your list. This mod doesn’t allow you to play as every Pal, however. It chooses from a couple of humanoid-looking Pals and lets you swap between them as you play.
8. Expanded World Options by ARAMA

While we all know Palworld 1.0 already launched with some beefy server settings, you might want a mod to pump some of those options up, and that’s why this mod is here. Basically, it lets you tweak with some parameters even further, which could be great for some challenge worlds or some fun co-op playthroughs. Just be mindful of the things you edit, as some settings could make the server a bit unstable.
9. FIX-Paldar Map by DestinWct (Original by T3R3NC3B)

While the original author isn’t working on this project any longer, other mod authors have taken the task to revive it, and here we have one of the most stable versions of the beloved Paldar mod so far. All you need to do is install it, and you’ll get a mini-map of sorts showing you POIs, Pals, and other items that will make exploring much easier.
10. True Monster Rancher by Sin of Pride

Last but not least, we have True Monster Rancher, which is another must-have mod according to the Palworld community, and one that will be extremely helpful in version 1.0. Basically, it causes certain Pals to drop new items, which makes sense for some of them. This mod is excellent if you want to have more loot variety without having to go through some of the in-game collecting loops. Just remember that RNG still plays a role here, but you can also tweak that if you want.
Overall, these are some of the mods we recommend for a fresh 1.0 playthrough in Palworld, but remember there are many more out there you can get to spice things up. Just be careful when adding mods, as some may have compatibility issues or be outdated.
