It’s funny how something that seems awful at the time, leads to something wonderful later on. Remember the announcement that Disney had bought the rights to Star Wars, a few years back? Despair and memes flooded the internet as the news hit.
And yet, now we have the promising ‘The Force Awakens’ to look forward to, as well as a Star Wars franchise free of George Lucas’ poor decisions. Likewise, when Nintendo announced that they would start making games for Smartphones, many took it as a sign of how much the once-mighty gaming company had fallen. But with the announcement of Pokemon Go, those people have been proven more wrong than they ever thought possible;
This means that bosses and teachers will now have to deal with students/employees who are late because they ran into a super rare Pokemon and had to stop to catch it.
There is not much information on gameplay specifics at the minute. We do know that your phone’s GPS functions will be connected to which Pokemon you encounter. We also know that Pokemon Go will be able to make use of a specially made smartwatch that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. It will light up to let you know when a Pokemon is nearby, so you don’t have to stare at your phone 24/7.
Pokemon Go will be free to play, but it will have in-app purchases available. It will be released next year.
