Want to learn about Ground-type Weaknesses in Pokemon Go? Pokemon Go has hundreds of unique Pokemon that you can catch, each belonging to one or more types. A Pokemon’s relationship to a particular type allows you to determine its weaknesses and strengths to other Pokémon. One of the types is Ground Types. Ground Type Pokémon are weak against Flying, Bug, and Grass Type, but not everything is as simple as it seems at first glance. Our guide aims to help you and tell you everything you need to know about Ground-type Weaknesses in Pokemon Go.

What is Ground Type Weakness in Pokemon Go?

Ground Type is one of the oldest types of Pokemon, which was first talked about in the first season of the legendary Pokemon anime. Therefore, many Pokemon of this type cause a little nostalgia in true Pokemon fans.

First, we worth noting that Ground-type Weakness and Vulnerable are different concepts. It may seem confusing, but we’ll explain everything in a moment.

Ground Type Pokémon are weak to Flying, Bug, and Grass-type Pokémon. It means that Ground-type Pokemon will take increased damage from Grass-type Pokémon regardless of their attacks.

At the same time, Ground types are vulnerable to Water, Grass, and Ice-type attacks. It means that Ground-type Pokémon will take increased damage from attacks of these types, regardless of the enemies Pokémon type.

Many players do not think about such concepts. But in fact, it is essential information to win more often. If your Ground-type Pokémon fights a Grass-type Pokémon with Grass Attacks, your Pokémon will take four times more damage. It’s cool, and you will lose regardless of the strength of your Pokémon. You can’t influence this in any way, so you should immediately change the Pokemon to another.
