Upon completing Pokemon Legends: Arceus, players are taken on several side quests, with one being to catch the legendaries Landorus, Tornadus, and Thundurus. The mission titled “Incarnate Forces of Hisui” has players catch all three of the weather-themed genies.

In order to activate this mission, players must first defeat Volo in the Temple of Sinnoh and then return to Galaxy HQ. Players can then interact with Cogita and receive the “Incarnate Forces of Hisui” mission. Cogita will give some minor clues as to the location of where to catch Landorus, Tonadus, and Thundurus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

To begin with, before setting off to search for and catch Landorus, Thundurus, or Tornadus in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it’s probably best to leave any valuable items at the camp. These Pokemon can be tricky to catch as they will attack at each level 70. Most of them are also surrounded by other Alpha and/or high-level Pokemon, which will also attack as players attempt to engage in battle with one of these genies. Fainting is a real possibility when trying to catch these Pokemon, and the less valuable items on a player’s person, the better. Saving before encountering any Pokemon is also suggested if the attempt doesn’t go as planned.

In addition, Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus are quick and will run away at the sight of a player, making it difficult for them to catch or engage in battle. Stealth and stunning items such as spoiled apricorns are key. When one of the Pokemon attacks, players can throw a stunning item and then swiftly throw a Pokemon at it to start a battle. Players can also do this from a hidden area, such as tall grass or from behind rocks.

How to Catch Landorus

Landorus is located on Ramanas Island in the Obsidian Fieldlands of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It roams around the small island, often starting near the Alpha Infernape, so players should watch out for it as well as they attempt to engage Landorus in battle.

How to Catch Tornadus

Tornadus will appear in the Bonechill Wastes of the Alabaster Icelands in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The temperamental Pokemon is only present during a snowstorm; players can check the weather conditions of any location by opening the map and looking at the icon in the top left corner. It is important to note that a snowflake does not signify a snowstorm; the icon needs to show wind beside a snowflake for Tonadus to appear. If the desired weather is not present, players can simply sleep at a camp and cycle through the different times of day until the right weather appears.

How to Catch Thundurus

Thundurus is located in the Cobalt Coastlands of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It can be found near the broken archway in the ocean during a thunderstorm. Thundrus inhabits the area from inside the archway to about halfway to Lunker’s Lair. Watch out for the wild Gyrados as well. It might be wise to defeat them before attempting to catch Thundurus.
