Friendship in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a stat that symbolizes the bond between a Pokemon and their trainer. It is necessary to unlock certain moves, be able to survive longer in battle and even is needed to evolve numerous Pokemon. With the stat being crucial to many different aspects of the game, players need to know the best ways to get that number higher. This is how you increase friendship with your Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
How to Increase Friendship In Pokemon Legends: Arceus
The best way to ensure that you increase the Friendship in a Pokemon is to do things with them. The most obvious thing that you can do is battle with them. Using a specific Pokemon over and over when battling in the open world will increase your connection with them. Another thing that you can have them do is send them out to scavenge for resources. This can be done by throwing their Pokeball at a resource you want to collect to get the item and increase the Pokemon within the ball’s friendship level. EXP Candies are another way of getting the friendship up as just as it buffs a Pokemon’s Experience, it also increases their Friendship level.

If you want to check how high your Friendship is with a specific Pokemon, you will need to speak with Bellamy. Bellamy is an NPC you can meet in Jubilife Village partway through the game. You will be able to talk to him once you defeat Kleavor during the main quest. You will be given a mission by him called “Measuring Your Compatability” and are tasked with showing him a Pokemon with high friendship. Once this objective is complete, you will unlock the ability to check the level of a Pokemon’s Friendship at any time by talking to Bellamy.
