Trainers looking for an effective way to deal damage and potentially poison their Pokémon opponents are encouraged to consider getting the Poison Jab TM for their roster in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Poison Jab is a Physical Move that deals solid damage while also rolling a 30% chance to poison a single target. As a Poison-type ability, this Move is Super Effective on Grass- and Fairy-type opponents but deals half the damage to Poison-, Ground-, Rock-, and Ghost-type foes. Applying this Move on Steel-type pocket monsters has no effect and deals zero damage in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Finding and Crafting Poison Jab in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Before players can craft the Poison Jab TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they must first acquire its recipe. There are two primary ways to get this TM Recipe; the first is by defeating Atticus, the leader of Team Star Poison Crew, located in the Tagtree Thicket. Trainers will need a roster of at least Level 33 for this endeavor.

The second way to get the Poison Jab TM recipe for crafting in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is by finding it through exploration. According to YouTuber GameLoc, the TM recipe can be found in two locations in Paldea. The first spot is located on the cliffs south of Porto Marinada. If players investigate the area south of the port settlement, they will find a small ridge pathway near the ravine drop into the ocean. Those who check the dead end on the east of this cliffside trail will find the Poison Jab TM.
The second location of the Poison Jab TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be found near the world map border in the northeastern corner of Paldea. If players travel north of the North Province (Area Two) Pokécenter, they will find a sizeable lake with two islands. Trainers must explore the slope east of this lake to encounter the TM recipe near the map’s border wall. Once players have collected at least one copy of the Poison Jab TM, they can craft it using the following materials:
- 5,000 League Points
- Seviper Fangs ×3
- Mareanie Spikes ×3
- Shroodle Ink ×3
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
