A new title in the works is being added to the persistent list of Switch games. Known as Port Royale 4 from the developers Gaming Minds Studios, and publisher Kalypso Media. Port Royale’s latest installment is now docking on Nintendo Switch!

The latest sailing sim can be picked up on the Nintendo eShop, where players familiar with the series can get their hands on some vintage ships. Not to mention, the title can be obtained by selected retail stores as well. Likewise, Port Royale 4 looks to be making its way to Nintendo Switch in a positive manner. Allowing players to manage their ports for trade wherever they are! All with the help of the convenient handheld console.

Port Royale 4 on Nintendo Switch introduces the player to the ultimate trade management system simulation. With the main focus of delivering goods as well as managing the transport. The title aims to immerse the player within history amongst a series of merchant ships.

The overall map size of Port Royale 4 is around a 12 million square kilometer playground located in the 17th century Caribbean. All of which can be explored in and out through a series of realistic simulations.

Players who are more action-oriented can take their trade to battle.  With the option of taking the fight to rival nations who are focused on targeting their fleets and settlements. Pirates are also existing amongst the treacherous waters, as well as privateers giving the sense of ever-lasting threat among a player’s experience.

Those looking to start their own colony can also succeed from their parent nation (France, Spain, England or the Netherlands) and choose a new name for their sovereignty, update their flag to something more their speed, and even take part in a heated war with their former ruler.”

What are your thoughts on this returning trade simulator coming to Switch? Let us know in the comments!
