Prince Harry recently gave an interview where he called out the royal family, namely his father King Charles, for not putting an end to certain situations that could stop the rift within the firm. However, instead of getting the response he may have been hoping for, the Duke of Sussex is now allegedly being iced out of the family even further. A royal commentator opened up about the situation and revealed that the situation may be hopeless for Harry.
According to Page Six, Prince Harry’s BBC interview, where he said King Charles could put an end to the rift between him and the royal family, was not a good move. One source close to the royals revealed that no one in the firm trusts Harry, and it’s become a huge problem when it comes to even thinking about reconciliation.
“I genuinely think nobody trusts him and that’s the bottom line. The royal family has major trust issues with him and that’s what’s at the heart of everything,” the insider said. “They don’t trust him and Meghan and that’s why they can’t have a relationship … maybe there’s room to forgive, but they won’t forget. Forgiveness and trust are two different things.”
Prince Harry Hopeless When It Comes to Royal Family Reconciliation
Meanwhile, royal expert Hugo Vickers says that Prince Harry favors his mother, Princess Diana, when it comes to using the media to try to push his narrative and wishes in hopes of change.
“The same thing is happening now,” Vickers said. “Charles is, of course, right not to trust him. Harry is hopeless in that respect. He shouldn’t have given that interview — but none of the royal family should ever give interviews, it’s always a car crash.
In addition to the bad blood that was already between Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and the rest of the royals, the issue of security has heightened the feud between the family. Harry has been fighting to get better security while he’s in the UK, and believes that Charles could help him. Instead, he’s heard nothing from his father, whom he claims refuses to speak with him.
“Harry has just got to accept [the security decision] and stop whingeing and whining,” Vickers stated.
In the interview, Harry also spoke out about Charles’ health, claiming he has no idea how much time his father has left. Vickers called the move “disgraceful” on Harry’s part. However, the Palace refuses to comment on the situation.
It seems that Prince Harry has tried everything in his power to get the attention of the royal family amid the feud. However, using the media to do so may be a huge mistake on his part.
