Many hit Seinen manga are known for being introspective works of narrative art with gorgeous visuals. But once in a while, we’re treated to a mature story with the trappings and spectacle of a Shonen fighting series. With the upcoming release date of Record of Ragnarok Chapter 87, you get the best of both worlds, but watch for leaks! Here’s what you can expect when the latest chapter drops!

Record of Ragnarok Chapter 87 Release Date

Record of Ragnarok Chapter 87 will release on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Japan (March 24 in the western hemisphere). If you wish to read from the beginning, you can subscribe to Mangamo to find up to Chapter 75 officially translated there. However, if you want to know what happens sooner, RoR has a vibrant fan community eager to spread the word. This can lead to leaks, raw scans, and spoilers for Record of Ragnarok Chapter 87, though.

When Do Leaks and Raw Scans Appear for Record of Ragnarok Chapter 87?

As soon as Monthly Comic Zenon issues hit the shelves, fans in Japan quickly buy them to tell readers worldwide what to expect. This means you can expect Record of Ragnarok Chapter 87 raw scans and leaks to surface as early as March 24, 2024, at 8 PM PST / 11 PM EST. The fan translations are often hasty, so it’s best to buy the official release.

RoR Chapter 86 Spoilers

In the latest chapter, we finally see Soji Okita squaring up against Susano’o no Mikoto. It’s Valhalla’s Strongest Godslayer against Humanity’s Strongest Manslayer. We finally get a glorious sword duel between two prominent Japanese historical/mythological figures in a Japanese manga. It’s the pinnacle of hype.

As is tradition with Record of Ragnarok, this chapter introduces us to the basics of each of their backstories. Susano’o is the slayer of Yamata no Orochi and, among other feats, created swordsmanship itself for Japan. Meanwhile, Soji carves a demonic legend for himself, able to cut down legions with his form of godly swordsmanship among the Shinsengumi.

Soji’s allies come to the match to cheer him on and note the look in his eyes. We’ve seen it several times in the series, a death stare with a menacing aura, focused and ready to kill. Despite facing down the God of Swords, Okita sees his greatest, most worthy opponent yet with his trademark demonic stare. The battle begins with Chapter 87, so buckle up!
