Remedy Entertainment’s Control, while not perfect, offered up a lot in the realm of satisfying, unique gunplay. Being able to tear a chunk of concrete out of your nearby surroundings, hurl it at your foe, and do that numerous times, is endlessly enjoyable even if an instant win tactic. Having explored its endless halls myself, I can happily say I walked away satisfied and hungry for more. If like me you’re interested in what else the expansive Control universe can offer, then today’s news should leave you ecstatic. Today, Remedy Entertainment is happy to announce that it’s partnering with 505 Games on a multiplayer spin-off to Control, currently titled Condor.

Control Remedy Entertainment 505 Games

Condor will be a four player PvE co-op adventure that is set within the universe, and will likely see players wield complex abilities to take down their foes. And while the onslaught of co-op shooters may leave you dreading yet another one being added to the pile, the universe should leave plenty of room for supernatural abilities and all-around fun.

Rami and Raffi Galante, co-CEOs of Digital Bros. Group (owners of 505 Games), had this to say regarding the partnership:

We are excited to continue and further expand our collaboration with Remedy. With over 2 million copies sold and revenue exceeding EUR 70 million, Control is an extremely successful game. As a multiplayer game, Condor has the potential to engage the gaming community in the long run, contributing to 505 Gamesโ€™ product revenue stream longer than traditional games.”

If you’re more a fan of single-player experiences, you aren’t being left out of the news either. Further announced, the teams will be participating in a “high-level collaboration” on a future, big-budget Control adventure. This is in the very early stages though, so don’t expect to see news of that for a good while.

What are your thoughts on Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games participating in a Control multiplayer spin-off? Will you try it out when it releases? Let me know!
