A great terror lurks beyond the terrifying darkness. It’s post-graduation for Saki and her friends, and a little vacation is in session to celebrate. However, the night turns strange, and Saki awakes to find her friends nowhere in sight. While searching for them, she stumbles upon a train in the woods. The weight of the mystery grows heavier, and only the will of the unnerved player can lead them to the revelations that Saki seeks in Re:Turn – One Way Trip.
In Re:Turn, you are tasked with solving puzzles as you continue to navigate through the game’s 2D environments. Much of the game’s conflict is explored through the launch trailer. Packed with petrifying images of evil and the unknown, the launch trailer also features a chilling song that triggers an anxious reaction. Re:Turn‘s 2D graphics will look familiar to those who watch the trailer, but expect a different kind of virtual Halloween experience if you dare to endure the nightmares of the train.
Do note that some of the images in Re:Turn‘s launch trailer are fairly sudden and loud, so proceed with playful caution.
Death is a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
Shift in-between the barriers of the present and the past as you take control of two different characters with distinctive perspectives. Re:Turn is equipped with an original soundtrack, too, setting up an entire mood for an adventure where the puzzles can only bring the player closer to a dark truth.
Re:Turn – One Way Trip was developed by London-based indie studio Red Ego Games; Re:Turn was also published by Green Man Gaming. It is available now, and it can be played on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch version for the game will be ready soon after.
