Rihanna was all business while supporting her man, A$AP Rocky, at his ongoing trial. Following reports the global popstar was “considering” appearing at the Los Angeles court, she showed up in person on Wednesday, but not in the way fans expected.
While heavy paparazzi camped outside Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, Rihanna opted for a private entrance, avoiding the circus brilliantly. In court, the singer sat among the audience in the gallery’s front row, between Rocky’s mom and sister. However, she was primarily incognito for the court session, with cameras not allowed to record her.
For her first time publicly supporting her baby daddy during the case, the Man Down songstress kept a low profile in all-black attire. She wore a long black coat with buttons over a turtleneck top. The fashion icon accessorized with gold jewelry, and a black purse, parting her jet black hair to the side.
Celebrity legal journalist Meghan Cunniff, who was present in court, confirmed that Rihanna kept a super lowkey composure. “Definitely, this wasn’t some kind of big fashion show for her at all,” she said in her report. As for her demeanor, Riri was stoic, “listening intently” while the accuser, A$AP Relli, gave his testimony. At one point, she adjusted her pair of black-framed sunglasses to read the screen as the court displayed texts between Rocky and Relli.
Rihanna Accused Of ‘Babysitting’ A$AP Rocky Amid Legal Troubles
Recall that A$AP Rocky, with whom Rihanna shares two sons, was accused of firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend during a November 2021 altercation. He pleaded not guilty to two felony counts, turning down a plea deal on January 21 and opting for a jury trial instead. The deal included 180 days in county jail and a seven-year suspended sentence with three years on probation.
The Praise Da Lord rapper faces up to 24 years in prison if found guilty. While A$AP Rocky maintains his innocence, fans online are concerned about how his legal troubles affect his girlfriend’s reputation.
“Being a billionaire and having to show up to court for your man because he acts like a child is upsetting,” one fan slammed. “It’s like she’s babysitting him.”
