2XKO, the upcoming League of Legends-based fighting game from Riot, just got a new gameplay trailer featuring a new champion, Braum. The mustache-waving musclebound brawler is swinging around a barndoor-sized shield and surfing atop enemies like no other.
No fighting game is complete without a command-grabbing bruiser who likes to flex his muscles, and Braum will fill that role in 2XKO. If you like Zangief from Street Fighter 6, Braum will be right up your alley. The gameplay trailer shows off the character’s playstyle, specials, as well as supers, which make Illaoi and her Kraken look small by comparison.
Braum is bursting with charm as even his taunt does a little bit of damage. You can watch the full trailer below to get an idea of how he plays and what archetype he’s filling in the 2XKO roster. He has ice powers that come into play, and allow him to be defensive while doing big damage. His range of attacks is startlingly long and should make for an interesting challenge to play against.

Evo 2024 is just around the corner, and people attending the event will be able to play a demo of 2XKO which is confirmed to include Braum. But don’t worry if you can’t travel to Las Vegas, as Riot announced an upcoming alpha test that you can sign up for.
Since the reveal of 2XKO, previously known as Project L, we have seen a total of 6 champions so far. The develop is focusing on character design variety, and making each as unique as possible. We also got to see small snippets of Jinx, but we haven’t seen her in action like a lot of the other characters.
You can sign up for the 2XKO playtest here which will run from August 8 to 19. We don’t have a concrete release date for the full game, but it comes out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
