Crystal Dynamics lead designer on Rise of the Tomb Raider Mike Brinker has stated the approximate hours it will take to finish the game’s main campaing and complete all the side-missions. In an interview, Brinker says players will be able to beat single-player campaing in approximately 15-20 hours, depending on how many side quests and collectibles. If players want to “get everything done,” including non-campaign missions , finding every weapon and gathering all the treasure, expect around 30-40 hours.

“It all comes down to how you want to play through the game. Running through the game will take you around 15 – 20 hours. So expect double the play time collecting everything and exploring every secret tomb.” Brinker explained in his interview. “Running through the game will take you around 15-20 hours,” he said to PixelVulture. When applying everything the game has to offer, players should expect “double the play time.”

Brinker went on to talk about how developer Crystal Dynamics has increased the size of the hub world significantly, “In terms of scale, all our hub spaces, the areas that allow you to explore and choose your own way to play, have been increased by three time the size. So there will be lots more to see and do in each area of the game too. We have more challenge tombs, crypts, caves, and a bunch of extra things to do like the side missions for the Remnant people, and the tomb guardians.”

Rise of the Tomb Raider releases on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 November 10, 2015 and Holiday 2016 for PS4 and PC.
