You may have found a stash, but you must get the right combination to open the Rock Rock Tree stash in Alan Wake 2. In this game, you will find several Stashes scattered around different areas that hide some valuable goodies locked within. Inside them, you can find ammunition, medicines, or other important items. But to find out the three digits that the lock asks for, you must first solve a puzzle with clues hidden all around you.
Where To Find The Rock Rock Tree In Alan Wake 2?
The Rock Rock Tree Stash is located on Cauldron Lake. North of the mouth of the river, right at the Private Cabin. As shown in the picture. To get to it, you must first wait for Casey and Saga to locate Alan on the beach.
To locate the Stash in Alan Wake 2, you can take the beach path and keep going straight until the path opens up, just after you find the Witchfinder’s Hut sign. When you reach that intersection, turn right and continue the path up the hill. You can climb up the hill without much effort via a small staircase made of logs from the forest.
On top of it, you will find a note that challenges you: “Rock Rock Tree Are You Bright Enough?” The Stash in Alan Wake 2 is locked with a padlock, and you need the combination to open it.
Stash Solution in Alan Wake 2
To find the Rock Rock Tree Stash combination, you’ll have to do some math found in hidden rocky areas in the forest.
Use the torch to shine some light just above the Stash. You will see that on the rock that holds the clue, the first addition problem is painted in yellow. The first addition problem you must store in your mind is 3+3, but don’t get confused. What you must place as the first number on the padlock is the result, that is to say, 6.
After this first discovery, turn left and shine the light on the tree with a thin trunk right next to the Rock Rock Tree Stash in Alan Wake 2. You will find painted on it a 6+2 addition problem; the number we will use is 8.
You are only one number away from cracking the lock open. Head down in the opposite direction to the Stash. Once there, turn left and over some rocks; you will see the last subtraction problem, 7-2=5.
Before you return to the Stash, take out the Taken around the Stash and avoid any problems. Once you are in front of the Stash again, you will find a note attached to it that says: “Rock Rock Tree.” In Alan Wake 2, this phrase tells you the order in which you must place the results of the sums. The first number will be the number of the first rock, 6. The second number will be the number of the second rock, 5. The third number is the one that was found on the tree: 8. The exact combination will look like this: 658.
Use the combination and open the Stash in Alan Wake 2. You will find a propane tank, a flare, and a first aid kit. It will also contain a somewhat ominous note: “Are you one of us or one of them?”
