Let’s kick some ice! Rocket League is getting another promotional DLC car on March 8th. Instead of going back in time with the DeLorean, this time, we will become the night with the Batmobile. Behold:

That’s right, with Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice hitting theaters on March 25, Warner Bros. is trying to drum up some excitement by adding the Batmobile to everyone’s favorite soccer game. The idea of the Batmobile flipping through the air and performing bicycle kicks is a silly one, but Rocket League is an inherently silly game. It works.

Unfortunately, the Batmobile being added is only the model from the upcoming film. Imagine an entire pack of Batmobiles: Batman Beyond, Batman: The Animated Series, the convertible from the 60s TV show!

Sadly, the one Batmobile is all we get for now. In addition to the car, the $2.00 DLC will contain three flags for the three main superheroes in Batman vs. Superman: you can fly support for Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman from your antenna. No word on whether the Gotham City rooftop arena featured in the trailer will be added to the game, but it is doubtful. Here’s a better look at the new Batmobile, direct from Rocket League’s Twitter:

It'll certainly stand out.

It has been a busy couple of months for Rocket League. The second ranked season began, bringing new, uncommon rewards and an updated ranking system to the table. The first non-standard map (Wasteland) was incorporated into ranked play. And it finally saw release for Xbox One.

March 8th is when you can expect to see the Batmobile flying around Rocket League maps. Hopefully that batsignal goal animation is included as well.

Still playing Rocket League? Excited to rack up some goals with the Batmobile in a couple of weeks? Let us know in the comments!
