In an overview, Root Double has a dramatized plot and interaction between its characters. A gripping storyline is waiting for the player who will take a dive into its story. With 40 endings and more than 50 hours of gameplay, it is more than enough to immerse you thoroughly in its world.

“It’s Different, it’s Compelling, it’s Root Double.”

According to its publisher, Root Double has a mature storyline with a “Senses Sympathy System” that sets it apart from conventional visual novels. The game is fully voiced by well-known voice actors and is directed by world-renowned Ever17 creator, Takumi Nakazawa. It will pull you in and plunge you to its HD, distinguished, and polished ambiance.

The story is set in the year 2030 at an isolated research city of Rokumei. It was a normal day until several explosions happened from its nuclear research facility known as “LABO.” To deal with the situation, the city sends in an elite squad called “Sirius.” Just when you thought it’s getting better, LABO’s nuclear reactor melts down. This was when all hell broke loose. LABO, together with Sirius and its survivors, is in lockdown. With lethal radiation leaking everywhere and only a limited number of anti-medication, the survivors struggle for survival. All of them learned that “doubt is their greatest enemy, and trust their greatest asset.”

Root Double -Before Crime * After Days was initially released on Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows in 2012. Its Xtend Edition, on the other hand, is an updated version and carries a different ending debuted PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in 2013 and 2014. By 2016, it was ported to an English version by Sekai Games in Microsoft Windows. PS Vita followed in 2018.
