While Spider-Man moves on to the Captain America: Civil War movie, actress Sally Field talked about the last film reboot the web-slinging hero had – and why she didn’t like it.

Field, who played Aunt May in the Amazing Spider-Man films, spoke on “The Howard Stern Show” about the project. She said she took the part of Aunt May because her friend, Laura Ziskin, was the producer. Field took on the role for her friend, as they both knew that it would be Ziskin’s last film. Ziskin passed away in 2011 before the movie was released.

“She was my first producing partner, and she was a spectacular human,” Field said of Ziskin.

Field is a talented actress, and many critics believed she was not used to her full potential in the Amazing Spider-Man movies. When asked how much thought she put into playing the character of Aunt May, Field said, “Not a great deal.” She then went on to say, “…its really hard to find a three-dimensional character in it, and you work it as much as you can, but you can’t put ten pounds of sh*t in a five-pound bag.”

Field seems to be speaking more out of frustration for Aunt May’s limited role in The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel. Needless to say, Field won’t ever be reprising this character in the future.
