It was rumored some time ago that Apple will release the iPad Pro  with 12 inch screen. Then Microsoft also rumoured to prepare a successor for Surface Tablet that’s featured with 13-14 inch size. Now, Samsung is reportedly working on a tablet that will have a bigger screen size than their rival products.

Samsung is reportedly preparing to develop a huge 18.4 inch tablet device. The report came from India based import database for testing and evaluation purposes, Zauba, who has a listing that features a Samsung Tablet SS-18.4 inch in the list of products imported to India. The said tablet will enter a series of tests and evaluation in India.

According to Ubergizmo, the information from the import document suggests here are seven units of tablets that were imported, each one has a price of $510. After testing is completed, all of these devices will be destroyed once the intended purpose has been fulfilled.

From the description of the size of the device, some analysts say that the gadget 18.4 inch tablet is unlikely  to attract consumers because it’s too big. However, it could be that the average consumer isn’t Samsung’s target for the product. The Korean company might possibly target consumers with specific purpose in mind, such as for educators or enterprises.

So far there’s no official word from Samsung regarding this tablet. Most likely the product will undergo several changes and improvements before being introduced to the public.
