Viewers of Selling Sunset season 7 took notice of a new agent on the block who ruffled feathers without even joining the Oppenheim Group. After fans were introduced to Cassandra Dawn in the middle of season 7, they took an interest in her unexplained tension with Bre Tiesi and her magnetic connection with Chelsea Lazkani. Here’s everything we know about Cassandra Dawn and why Selling Sunset fans think she’d be the perfect addition to the cast.
Before Real Estate, Cassandra Was in the Art Scene
Cassandra Dawn, known professionally as Cassandra Repstad, worked as a contemporary art advisor before setting her sights on real estate. She split her time working between London and Los Angeles.
Cassandra’s Husband Is Also in Real Estate
Though we haven’t met him on Selling Sunset yet, Cassandra Dawn’s husband is John Repstad. Repstad works as the senior director of Realty Advisory Group, where he “specializes in the acquisition/disposition and leasing of industrial and office properties as well as investment sales.”
The couple tied the knot in October 2021, with Cassandra detailing their whirlwind romance in an Instagram post celebrating their wedding.
“Within one year of meeting, his love broke down my walls, absolutely swept me off my feet & I’ve grown more as a person by his side than I thought I would in a lifetime,” she wrote. “To say we are perfectly compatible in every single way, inside & out is an understatement.”
Cassandra Dawn Bonded With Jason Oppenheim Because She’s Also a Twin
While meeting up with Jason Oppenheim to propose co-listing a $29 million, Cassandra mentioned that she’s also a twin.
Cassandra’s twin sister is Jackie Dawn. The two were born on January 10, 1990, with Cassandra mentioning that she’s the firstborn twin and the two are Capricorns. They are of Filipino and Bangladeshi heritage.
Cassandra modeled for Playboy around the same time as Heather Rae Young.
Cassandra Dawn served as the June 2018 Playmate of the Month in Playboy. That same year, she was photographed with Selling Sunset‘s own Heather Rae Young at the iconic brand’s Midsummer Night’s Dream event.
Cassandra’s twin, Jackie, has also posed for Playboy as a Cybergirl.
Cassandra Dawn and Bre Tiesi have tension, and it’s already made for some thrilling exchanges.
From the moment Cassandra Dawn approached Bre Tiesi on season 7 of Selling Sunset, the discomfort between them was palpable. Cassandra alleged to know Tiesi, an idea Tiesi shut down immediately.
“I wouldn’t say we actually know each other, but I guess being in the industry everyone kind of knows of each other,” Tiesi leveled. “We didn’t actually hang out or meet or anything.”
While Cassandra said the two had crossed paths in “the industry” and “from doing bottle service,” Tiesi maintained she was turned off by the familiarity from someone who she claims is an acquaintance at best.
Since the season aired, Tiesi has doubled down on having “never met this woman in my life,” prior to the season’s action. “There’s nothing against her,” Bre told DailyMail.com. “I don’t dislike her. I don’t hate her. There’s no history like y’all enjoy that.”
“It’s just the way she addressed me came off crazy. And we’re on a show… not everything happens exactly how you see it,” she continued. “I love that everyone’s invested, but be a little more logical here.”
Fans suspect two realtors may have one foot out the door for season 8.
The end of season 7 has left the future uncertain for two members of the Oppenheim group: Tiesi and Chrishell Stause. While season 8 is not official, fans are speculating that it will go forth, but perhaps without these two powerhouses.
This, combined with Jason and Brett’s discussions about hiring more agents now that the brokerage has moved into a bigger office, has many thinking Cassandra and her budding real estate career could make her a solid fit.
Jason hinted at being open to hiring more agents and even debated Cassandra as an addition on screen.
Chelsea Lazkani set up the meet-up with Jason and Cassandra, making it known she thinks she’d be a good addition to the brokerage.
In a confessional, Jason acknowledged the possibility, stating, “I really appreciate and respect Chelsea’s opinion, but with the issues between Bre and Cassandra, that will affect whether I would hire Cassandra for sure.”
“I’m not saying it would be determinative, but it would certainly weigh heavily on my decision,” he continued. “So I don’t know, I don’t know.”
