The video was posted on X by Spectrum News 1 SoCal (@SpecNews1SoCal). In the clip, a man interrupts Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass at an outdoor event as she speaks from a podium. The footage shows Bass later responding to reporters near a vehicle while the man continues to ask questions in the background. The video does not capture the full exchange or what occurred immediately before or after the interruption.

The Spectrum News post states that the man questioned the success of Bass’s Inside Safe homelessness program and why she allegedly made edits to the Palisades Fire after-action report. The man in the video has been identified by multiple commenters as William Gude, also known as @FilmThePoliceLA.

Public Reactions to the East Hollywood Confrontation

Several users praised the man for asking direct questions. One commenter wrote, “William Gude, a/k/a @FilmThePoliceLA, is literally more transparent and effective in confronting wrongdoers… if he reports it, it’s probably accurate,” while another wrote, “She’s a Failure.”

A third person said, “To be clear, William Gude @FilmThePoliceLA is a real one & not afraid of calling out Karen Bass… asking real questions that the useless mainstream media should be asking!”

Others emphasized accountability. One user stated, “I dare you to find an interview where Karen Bass answers real, unvetted questions from her constituents… This man is asking the questions we all want answers to.”

Additional comments described him as someone who “has done more for the people of this city than Karen Bass ever will” and called for more constituents to voice frustration over failed leadership.
