I would consider all highways to be among the most dangerous roadways to travel on. Despite there being strict speed limits, they are hardly acknowledged, and seeing as so many people are breaking driving laws, police officers can’t be expected to track them all down. However, for one man driving in New York, he was accidentally smack in the center of a rather extreme high-speed car chase involving several police vehicles. To add to it all, his commentary is hilarious.

The above video was posted to the TikTok account @v7n1qqs072 and shows a rather alarming scene. While driving in the center lane, just before Exit 10A to Yonkers and Mount Vernon, several cop cars sped past him and overtook a car driving just ahead. Immediately after overtaking the car, police officers came out of each vehicle, weapon in hand, and pointed at whoever was inside the car.

Instead of being instructed to drive away or even taking it upon himself to leave the scene, the driver simply stays there, watching the scene before him unfold. Moments after the officers had swarmed the other car, they attempted to break the window, but either failed or saw that its driver was doing something because they all rushed to the driver’s door. Immediately after the officers rushed out of view, the driver, narrating the entire situation, simply says, “I got work, bro.”

Commentators were quick to jump into the comments and criticize the narrator for both driving so fast and for getting so close to what could have been an incredibly dangerous situation. Many of the comments were akin to, “Why you pull up like you was apart of the squad ??” and “U pulled up like the sheriff or something 😭“

Some commentators genuinely thought that maybe the police officers were coming after him, given how fast he was driving. Some of the comments said things such as, “i thought they was trying to get u,” and “you goin 70 like you a nypd official.” Realistically, he should have slowed down and left the scene so the officers could do their work safely.

There are no updated videos that further detail what happened after the fact or what the driver who watched the scene unfold ended up doing. However, it does appear that no one besides the driver the police were chasing was harmed while things went down. It just goes to show that you should slow down a bit when you see police officers zipping by.
