This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

After helping a Grey Warden named Davrin, you return to the Crossroad to receive bad news from your allies. The elven gods have made their first major move by ordering two dragons to attack two cities simultaneously. Since both regions are vulnerable in their own ways, you need to decide which one you should aid. The choice to help Minrathous or Treviso in Dragon Age: The Veilguard will affect the main story and your relationship with two of your party members. So, be careful with what you choose.

There is no right choice when you have to decide between helping Minrathous or Treviso in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The city that you prioritize will receive minimal damage, but the other one will end up getting blighted. This decision will also affect the side missions that you will accept after this event.

For instance, since I decided to save Treviso, the city survived the attack relatively unscathed. On the other hand, Minrathous has become blighted, and The Viper even received a heavy wound that infected him with the blight. Tarquin blamed the Rook for their actions, but The Viper still defended the protagonist.

In the aftermath, you will receive some side missions where you can help the city deal with the blight and other problems. This monumental decision will also affect your relationships with Neve and Lucanis. If you help Minrathous, Neve will approve, while Lucanis will be happy if you aid Treviso.

Since I opted to aid Treviso in my playthrough. Neve has become Hardened. This is a special status that your party member will receive after this event. They will no longer use supportive abilities, but their offensive magic will be stronger. Growing the relationship with them will also become much harder.

Both choices will doom one city, so I suggest picking one based on which character you want to romance. While getting close to a Hardened ally isn’t impossible, it is difficult, and you will have to make up for your decision. Since I fancy Lucanis more, I opted to sacrifice Minrathous.
