The lying system in Lies of P is unlike anything we’ve seen in games before. Basically, this system is a series of choices that determine the course of the story. Since this mechanic is encountered very early in the game, you may have immediately wondered what happens if you lie in Lies of P. That said, we will explain how the lie system works to let you know whether you should lie in Lies of P.
What Happens if You Lie in Lies of P
You are encouraged to tell your first lie as you try to enter Hotel Krat right after the Parade Master boss. The hotel security asks you if you are Human or Puppet. To put it briefly, lying in the game changes your story, the places you go, and the items you can find. Most importantly, the choices you make determine the ending of Lies of P.
However, when playing the game, we recommend that you make a decisive choice between lie or truth. Then, stick to that choice throughout the entire game. The reason for this is that you can get special items, gestures, and records if you dedicate yourself entirely to one side.
At the end of the day, it is your choice which ending you want to achieve and which path you want to take. Of course, we won’t spoil what happens at the end of the game, but we can tell you the name of the endings for you:
- If you give Geppetto the heart and choose to tell the truth, you get the ending “Free From the Puppet String.”
- If you give Geppetto the heart and choose not to tell the truth, you get the ending “Rise of P.”
