Sims 4 Pregnancy Cheats: How to Induce Labor, Choose Gender, Have Twins and More

In The Sims 4, having more family members is always a great deal of fun, especially with the Growing Together expansion. But sometimes, maybe you want to have more control over how your Sims have their babies to reduce your headache. Here are some of The Sims 4 cheats that can affect pregnancy, induce labor, choose gender, have twins, and more.

Turn On Cheats via TestingCheats Menu

Some pregnancy cheats in The Sims 4 can be done without using actual cheat codes, but you can use TestingCheats command to make things faster. Here’s how you can activate it for all platforms:

• PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
• PS4: L1, L2, R1, and R2 at the same time.
• Xbox One: LB, LT, RB, and RT at the same time.
• Then type in testingcheats 1 and hit Enter (PC) or Confirm (console).
  • If you want to disable cheats, you can do it by typing in testingcheats 0 instead.

Once you have activated the TestingCheats command, open the command console again using the button/key combination above and enter the following cheat codes:

Twins and Triplets Cheat Code

If you want to get twins or triplets, you can do so by using two TestingCheats commands, but it is slightly more complicated than just entering the code, so here’s the step-by-step guide to do so:

1. Select which Sim you want to have, twins or triplets.
2. Open the cheat menu.
3. Enter the following code: sims.get_sim_id_by_name
4. You will get a long string of numbers. This is the Sim’s ID, so keep note of this.
5. Open the cheat menu again.
6. Enter the following code: pregnancy.force_offspring_count (Sim ID) (number of children you want)
   • Example: pregnancy.force_offspring_count 1234567891234 6
7. Remember that you can only have a maximum of eight Sims per household.

Force a Gender on an Unborn Baby Without Cheats

Aside from using codes, you can influence the pregnant Sim by doing certain things:

Baby boy:

• Eat carrots often.
• Listen to Alternative Music often.

Baby girl:

• Eat strawberries often.
• Listen to Pop Music often.

Increase the Chance of Getting Twins or Triplets Without Cheats in Sims 4

The odds of getting multiple births in The Sims 4 are pretty low. Twins have a 10% chance, while triplets are only 1%. But just like the gender of the baby, you can do specific things shortly before picking the Try for Baby Interaction Option to increase the likelihood of multiple births:

• Fertile Reward Trait: Can be obtained from the Satisfaction Reward Store for 3000 Satisfaction Points.
• On Ley-Line Lot Trait: Requires City Living expansion pack. Becoming pregnant in a Lot with this Trait will increase the chance of multiple births.
• Elixir of Fertility: Requires Outdoor Retreat DLC. A Sim with Level 10 Herbalism skills can make it.
• Fertility Massage: Requires Spa Day DLC. A Sim with Level 9 Wellness skills can give this massage.
