Ubisoft starts the second closed beta process for Skull and Bones next week. The event is planned to take place between August 25 and 28 and is only available on PC via Ubisoft Connect to a random selection of players. The invitations are only for selected players, and all those who participate can publicly talk about their experience in Skull and Bones. The beta also lets you invite two friends once you’re selected, so you can play the beta with your favorite sailors who got bored of Sea of Thieves. Though the game’s pre-orders are up, the closed beta participants don’t need to pre-order the game.
Ubisoft Relays Skull and Bones Closed Beta Next Week
The basic game features aren’t the only thing you’ll see in the Skull and Bones beta. You’ll be using weapons, interacting with NPCs and other players, and improving them with the supplies you collect. Also, the side missions, worldwide events, and bounty contracts won’t be excluded. The closed beta participants are selected randomly, but you should sign up for the game’s Insider program first. Once you’re selected, you’ll receive an e-mail from Ubisoft and gain access to Skull and Bones through Ubisoft Connect.
This won’t be the game’s first closed beta event; the previous tests also delivered developers a lot of helpful feedback. We also saw a new gameplay video at that time, but Ubisoft didn’t let the beta participants share content from the game. The base game isn’t so different from the version that showed up last year, but the developers surely made vital changes to the stability. If you’re unsure if your PC is strong enough to run the game, here are the minimum requirements for it:
- Operating System: Windows 10
- CPU: Intel i7 4790 / AMD Ryzen5 1600
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 570 8GB
- Memory: 8GB (Dual-channel setup)
- Storage: 65GB SSD
That’s the requirement for a 1080p 30FPS experience. Since this is a closed beta, the game’s optimization could still be improved by the final release.
