Even with a Roblox game as simple as Sol’s RNG, some gameplay mechanics aren’t immediately apparent. How do you get auras of higher rarity? What do you do with the auras, for that matter? Where should you even begin? To understand everything, you must be aware of the game’s loop. If you’re a beginner in Sol’s RNG and need someone to guide you, we’ve got a few tips and tricks to help clear any confusion.
A Beginner’s Guide to Sol’s RNG
First off, let’s start with defining what Sol’s RNG is as a game. It’s essentially a slot machine and a collection game wrapped in one, but you get a random aura instead of getting a payout. Sol’s RNG has mechanics that improve the odds, so for beginners, the loop revolves around the following:
- Rolling for new auras over and over
- Crafting gear to increase your luck
- Taking advantage of buffs
Rolling for new auras is the easiest part of the game. You click the Roll button to see what you get, then decide whether to equip or skip it. The latter discards the aura for good, but equipping a new aura will send the previous aura to your inventory. Rinse and repeat until you’ve collected every aura in Sol’s RNG, but that will take a while.
Craft Gear to Improve Your Luck
Unfortunately, many of the auras have an incredibly small chance of appearing, like the Starscourge Aura’s one-in-a-million chance. Your first order of business as a beginner is to focus your efforts on crafting, which you can do over at Jake’s Workshop.
Crafting accomplishes two things: it shores up inventory space (because it’s limited) and you can craft gear that increases your Luck stat. Even if you log out for the day, your crafting progress will be saved!

How To Get Lunar in Sol’s RNGFor that reason, crafting the Luck Glove should be your first priority. It’s a small 25% boost to your Luck, but that’s enough to get the Rare Aura appearing more frequently for crafting Gear Basings. You’ll need plenty of Gear Basings for crafting better and better gear.
Find and Use Blessings
In addition to gear, potions and blessings can greatly increase your Luck stat in Sol’s RNG, too. However, potions appear on the ground far too infrequently to be a viable option early on. The better option is to find and use the Basic Blessing.
Right as you log in, you’ll see a small smattering of islands designed as an obstacle course. It’s nothing complicated, but completing it will grant you the Basic Blessing, which is a 30% increase to your Luck stat. It only lasts for a minute though, so be sure to have your Luck Glove on in order to start rolling for new auras immediately.
Only when you want to take a break from rolling should you go on a hunt for potions in Sol’s RNG. If you’re feeling particularly brave, you can parkour up the mountain and enter the cave behind the waterfall. You’ll find Stella inside, a witch who’ll take your potions and brew them into stronger versions.
