Father and daughter relationships are usually complicated. It might be filled with love or with hate or somewhere in between. Well, that in-between is easily seen in a spoiled Alabama woman’s video. She is trying to help her father fix up their car presumably, but she ends up making him annoyed, which is understandable. People quickly came to her father’s defense as some even got mad at the way she spoke to him. At the same time, others found the funny side of the situation and didn’t look at it too seriously.
In the video, the Alabama woman stands behind her father as he is bent down next to a car. The hood is up, he has a flashlight in his hand, and he is trying to fix the car. On the other hand, his daughter isn’t offering much help. She wrote on top of the video, “When your dad won’t let you hold the flashlight anymore so you try to sing to him and hold the umbrella as moral support.” You can see her holding the umbrella alright, but it’s not even covering her father. Not to mention that she is also singing Umbrella, and she wasn’t hitting those notes. So you can imagine how annoyed her father was.
It’s only normal that he yells at her after who knows how long since she started singing and says, “Shut the f**k up.” She stops singing and ends up laughing with the umbrella, moving even further away from her father. “F**k you. I’m not holding an umbrella for you no more,” she tells him as she walks away and keeps laughing.
People Reacting to the Video
People left their thoughts about the funny situation in the comments as many of them pointed out that the umbrella wasn’t covering the Alabama woman’s father. One person wrote:
“That man was overstimulated. He’s fixing a car, it’s raining, it’s cold and all of a sudden he hears this agitating, grating sound”
I honestly would have been annoyed, too, if I were in his shoes. Another person said, “I love how the umbrella isn’t even covering him lol.” Another person agreed with this as they wrote, “‘Im not holding the umbrella for you anymore’ Girl when was you ever!!!!!! Lol.” Some pointed out how the Alabama woman’s voice was enough to get anyone upset. “She found the last nerve and sang to it,” one woman wrote. Another said, “The ‘Eh Eh eh Eh eh Eh’ was his last straww.” One TikTok user then said, “You were getting to a good part too..”
While many people found the situation funny, others saw how the Alabama woman spoke to her father was inappropriate. “Who talks to their dad like that?” one person asked. People in the replies, however, defended the Alabama woman. “People with great relationships,” one person wrote. Another said, “I mean who talks to their kid like that? its [sic] obviously friendly banter.” The Alabama woman liked these two replies.
The Alabama Woman Posting an Update
Since one person pointed out that the Alabama woman’s father thought she was making up the song, she made sure to post another video. In the video, she is sitting in a car with her father outside the window and Umbrella is playing. She keeps singing along until she reaches the “eh eh eh” part which her father thought she was making up.
He tells her “still not funny,” but as someone said, he was still smiling. The Alabama woman then tells him, “I f**king told you,” which probably means that she told him this part did exist in the song. The two’s relationship actually looks close so people should stop coming after her for cursing. He was madder at her singing than her cursing, and honestly, I understand. Again, she wasn’t hitting those notes.
