After completing several objectives in Star War Squadrons’ Fleet Battles, you will get the final task of destroying the other side’s Flagship. In this guide, we will explain how to destroy a Star War Squadrons’ flagship and everything to consider.
How to Destroy Star War Squadrons Star Destroyer and Republic Flagships
To destroy the Star Destroyer or the MC75 in Star Wars Squadrons, you need to disable and destroy a number of the ship’s components to open up haul breaches. Start first with the ship’s shield, and after it is disabled, move on to the shield generators and then targeting systems. Following all of the above will help in your quest to lower the flagship’s health, as it won’t be able to protect itself as easily. To further help in destroying flagships, we recommend using a Fighter starfighter to strafe the turrets, which in turn will make it easier for your team’s bombers to come in to disable the flagship’s shield. Once that’s disabled, use fighters to destroy the shield generators.
Once you’ve destroyed the flagship’s shields and targeting systems in Star Wars Squadrons, you’ll need to focus on damaging the ship’s hull. We recommend staying on the sides of the capital ship to avoid coming under fire from the ship’s turrets. Keep attacking the Star Destroyer’s hull and ignore any enemy starfighters. Being distracted by those could delay your time in destroying the flagship, or cause your untimely death. Once you’ve unloaded on the hull, several small blue hull breaches will appear on the ship. When this happens, you are going to want to ping them and focus fire on these with long-range missiles. If you keep the offensive up, the Star Destroyer or Republic MC75 will go down with ease. To recap, follow the steps below to destroy flagships in Star Wars Squadrons.
- Disable the shield
- Disable the shield generators
- Disable the targeting systems
- Focus fire on the hull
- Focus fire on the blue hull breaches
Following these steps will help make destroying any Star War Squadrons’ Star Destroyer and Republic Flagships a much easier job. I hope you found this guide useful and be sure to leave any feedback you have in the comments below. Good luck out there, pilots!
