The Steam Summer Sale has arrived with a slew of good deals on all your gaming needs. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is 80% off. Portal and Portal 2, if you somehow don’t have them already, are both 90% off. If you hammer through your wishlist, you are practically guaranteed to find some deal that will help relieve your wallet of a few dollars. If you search beyond the game listings, however, you may also stumble across the Steam Link device at its lowest price ever. This neat little gadget lets you run games on your high powered PC but stream them through your television, and its a heck of a deal at 70% off (only $15 for you United States based gamers).
The Steam Link plugs into your TV and, ideally, to a wired internet connection. It will work through wireless but, depending on how solid the connection is, may make some games difficult to play. It supports Steam Controllers or, more commonplace, Xbox One or Xbox 360 controllers. It can stream all your Steam library games at 1080p, and actually works surprisingly well if you have a decent internet connection.
In addition to just buying the Steam Link, there is also a 55% off listing for the device plus a Steam controller ($45 in the US) and, strangely, the device plus a copy of the film John Wick for 61% off ($24.79 in the US). I guess the type of people who want to play games on their couch and the type of people who want to watch Keanu Reeves shoot people in the face run in the same crowd.
The Steam Link sale lasts until the end of the Steam Summer Sale: July 5. Grab yours today, and regain the joy of gaming from the couch.
