Indie games have always showcased what’s possible in ways not many developers think. While these titles look at what’s possible, some games take a concept to heart. Such as the game about a cat called Stray. Announced to release for PlayStation and PC platforms, the title pits players in the paws of a stray cat. Published by Annapurna Interactive, players navigate a futuristic setting as a cat to unravel and understand the world around them. While the gameplay trailer aired only eight months ago, it seems the title is nearing release. According to the Korean rating board GRAC, Stray has received an official rating in Korea. Possibly hinting at a reveal soon, the release date for Stray may be around the corner.

Why Does Stray Being Rated In Korea Mean For Release Date News?
While the developer BlueTwelve Studio indicated an early 2022 release, nobody assumed how early it could be. The news possibly hints at an upcoming release date or at least a reveal with a date attached. With the gameplay demo last year, many assumed the project was far along in its development trajectory. As the title spans a cityscape with a long travel time, polishing that experience is essential. Interacting and utilizing machines to communicate with the robots inhabiting the world is critical to finding out the game’s mystery. Relying on the vast atmosphere, there’s plenty of puzzle-solving and world-building to enjoy. Yet, the official rating does indicate some sensitive subject matter which lands the title a 12 and up designation in Korea. In the US, this rating could be comparable to the E10+, but no official ESRB rating has been given out just yet.
