Late actress Suzanne Somers‘ husband, Alan Hamel, continues to mourn the loss of his beloved wife. As the second anniversary of her death approaches, he is still not quite ready to move on. Hamel goes above and beyond to do anything within his power to keep her memory alive. But lately, his friends believe he is taking things too far, and they are getting worried.
On October 23, 2023, Suzanne Somers passed away in her Palm Springs home following a battle with breast cancer. Alan Hamel and Suzanne Somers married in 1977 and were inseparable for nearly 50 years before her death.
Nearly two years since her death, Alan Hamel is still not over the loss. Alan is determined to keep Suzanne’s memory alive. According to Radar Online, he is reportedly becoming so obsessed that his friends are pleading with him to stop.
Hamel’s latest plans are borderline creepy, which his friends find very unsettling. Alan’s most recent idea is to design a disturbing and creepy digital clone of Suzanne. The life-like image will not only help heal his pain but will also be used to continue promoting Somer’s cosmetics line.
Alan Hamel Believes Suzanne Somers’ Spirit Continues To Visit Him
Hamel’s plans don’t stop there. His friends claim he is even reportedly suggesting new “episodes” of Three’s Company featuring this digital rendition alongside a proposed John Ritter hologram.
“He’s essentially rebooting the deceased,” remarked one horrified insider. Others feel that Alan Hamel is out of touch with reality and is taking things too far. In the past, Alan has opened up about the heartbreak of losing the love of his life.
Alan Hamel even believes Suzanne Somers’ spirit continues to visit him frequently. Soon after Suzanne died in 2023, Hamel spoke out, revealing that his late wife’s spirit continues to make her presence known.
He stated, “One day I’m standing in the kitchen with my family and all of a sudden, Suzanne’s favorite song comes on the audio system. It just came on all by itself. And then, when it was over, that was it. The audio system stayed off.”
The TV producer also shares that three months after Suzanne’s death, a hummingbird flew into their house and ‘hovered‘ in front of a framed picture of the two of them. Alan Hamel adds that a few weeks later, the same hummingbird returned and landed in his hands. He believes it was a message from Suzanne revealing to him that she was happy and safe.
Alan Hamel admits that since Suzanne Somers’ passing, he has become a firm believer that there is an afterlife. He adds that it makes the grieving process easier, believing one day they will be reunited.
