God works in mysterious ways. Neon has released the red band trailer for Immaculate, an upcoming horror movie that stars Sydney Sweeney (seen below). She will go from her recent rom-com hit to diving into this horrifying religious flick. It is directed by Michael Mohan and written by Andrew Lobel.
The film follows the Euphoria star at an Italian convent. Her new role gets disrupted when she finds out she is pregnant from an unknown source, as she did not have sex. Some take it as a blessing, but when things start to turn deadly, the blame is on the mysterious fetus brewing inside the young woman. She is joined by Simona Tabasco, Benedetta Porcaroli, Álvaro Morte, Giampiero Judica, Dora Romano, and Giorgio Colangeli.

Sydney Sweeney will have a busy 2024 with her religious horror movie and the upcoming superhero film Madame Web. Her entrance to the SSMU could pave a major blockbuster path for her future. On top of her upcoming horror role, she could also become the latest scream queen to enter this era of the genre.
The project is the second producing role the star serves in. She ventured into producing when she did Anyone But You with Glen Powell. Along with her, the film is produced by Jonathan Davino, David Bernad, Teddy Schwarzman, and Michael Heimler. John Friedberg, Christopher Casanova, and Will Greenfield serve as executive producers.
Since 2018, the actress has shot to the moon. She made her big break in 2018 when she starred in two hit shows with Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale and HBO’s adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel Sharp Objects with Amy Adams. Since then, she has been in The White Lotus season 1 and Euphoria, which is expected to return for a third season.
Immaculate will jump-scare us on March 22.
