This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

During the Sub-Quest Bibliophile in Tales of Arise, players are tasked with finding several books, including the Rarest Book, for Tigrina, the librarian in Auteliana Palace. To start the quest, players must give the librarian Rinwell’s starting (book) weapon, Secret of the Stars. The rest of the books are all useable weapons with Rinwell, meaning they are forgeable items. Every recipe to craft the books is acquired through the main story. The crafting plan for the Rarest Book is unlocked only after players have reached the final region in the game. Read on to learn how to obtain the Rarest Book in Tales of Arise.

How to Obtain the Rarest Book in Tales of Arise

Tales of Arise the Rarest Book

The Rarest Book in Tales of Arise is the Heavenly Gaze, a craftable weapon for Rinwell in the forge menu. However, before players can show the Rarest Book to Tigrina, they must first craft Nature’s Beauty, Radiant Light, and Taming Water. Each book requires several uncommon and rare crafting resources, so players must obtain the materials before visiting the Merchant.

Here is a list of each material for every one of Rinwell’s books in the Bibliophile Sub-Quest in Tales of Arise, including the Rarest Book. Bear in mind that some materials are only obtainable in late-game areas, such as in The Otherworld and Tarfhal Helgarahi.

Nature’s Beauty

  • Bizarre Megacore x4
  • Earth Stone x1
  • Titanium Vambrace x2

Radiant Light

  • Bizarre Megacore x6
  • Clam Tentacle x2

Taming Water

  • Strange Core x8
  • Astral Crystal Fragment x2

Heavenly Gaze (Rarest Book)

  • Mystical Luminacore x6
  • Ominous Eyeball x2
  • Incendiary Scale x2

The last book will also reward players with the Elder Cloak, assuming you have the materials and the hefty amount of 19, 850 Gald. The price is steep, but it is worth it. Furthermore, once you show the book to Tigrina, you’ll finish the Bibliophile sub-quest.
