Have you jumped on the Xbox Game Pass hype train yet? If your answer is no, why not? At the time of its announcement, many in the gaming community felt skeptical and fell divided. Why should Xbox gamers pay for an additional service that had no proven track record while services like Redbox and Gamefly existed? Xbox Game Pass has now been out for almost three years and shows no signs of slowing down. Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass added Grand Theft Auto V (GTAV), and now Microsoft has announced three new titles are coming later this month.

Earlier today, Xbox’s Major Nelson announced that Tekken 7, Frostpunk, And Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet would be joining the Xbox Game Pass program later this month. In the post, Xbox also announced that LEGO City Undercover and Just Cause 3 will be leaving the program later this month. In addition to the arrivals and departures, new Xbox Game Pass Quests have been announced.

Upcoming Game Pass Titles

Starting on January 9th, Frost Punk: Console Edition and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will join Xbox Game Pass. In Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, the player will dive into SAO’s world, Gun Gale Online. With a wide array of weapons and skills to master, the player will encounter familiar friends and enemies from the Sword Art Online anime. Show off your avatar, skills, and weapons in SAO: FB’s Co-Op or PVP game modes.

In Frost Punk: Console Edition, the player is tasked with building a civilization for frozen wasteland survivors. Decisions are never black and white, where each choice made can have lingering consequences. How will you handle the power and keep your citizens safe? For an in-depth review of Frost Punk, check out Jordan Baranowski’s review.

On January 16th, Tekken 7 joins the fray. With a 3D battle system, Tekken 7 brings with it all the attitude, competitiveness, and excitement that previous arcade editions established. Will the new features and mechanics be your undoing or your deliverance?
