Paddy McGuinness’ new show Tempting Fortune is set to premiere on Sunday, March 26. Ahead of the launch date, the TV host leaves the contestants stunned as he travels through South Africa’s wilderness in a black cab.
It has been a tough year for Paddy McGuinness following his painful split from his ex-wife Christine McGuinness. The two were married for 11 years and share three children — twins Penelope and Leo, 9, and Felicity, 7.
Although the couple split last year in July, they continued to live together in their Cheshire home for months. The two later revealed they had not told their kids about their divorce and even spent the holidays together.
Interestingly, Paddy, 49, continued to wear his wedding ring months after their split. However, he was spotted without his ring for the first time in January, leading fans to believe he was finally ready to move on.
A month later, Paddy sparked dating rumors with TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher. The two were spotted getting cozy during a night out at the Ham Yard Hotel in London’s Soho.
However, a source close to the two quickly shut down the rumors claiming the duo was only “leaning on each other” since their break-ups. Gallacher split from her ex-husband Paul Sampson in 2015 after 16 years together.

Paddy McGuinness On ‘Tempting Fortune’
A promo clip for Paddy McGuinness’ new show Tempting Fortune captures the 49-year-old TV personality making quite an entrance.
In the clip, exclusively obtained by MailOnline, Paddy shocks the contestants when he arrives at a beach in the South African wilderness in a London black cab.
Paddy McGuinness’ new show Tempting Fortune is a new big-money game show that sees 12 strangers compete for a shared prize of £300,000.
To win the money, the contestants must endure a difficult 18-day trek through the wilderness while forgoing all manner of luxuries. These luxuries could be anything from a hot shower to hot meals or even luxury bedding.
Unfortunately, these luxuries come at a steep price. Any contestant that decides to indulge in any of these luxuries would be stealing from the prize money.
After climbing out of his black cab to meet the stunned contestants, Paddy explains the game’s rules. He said:
“Along the way, you’re going to find temptations that will make life a lot easier, but everything comes at a price…”
He continued:
‘And if any of you can’t make it to the end of the journey, 25k will be knocked off the prize fund.’
Meanwhile, the announcement of Paddy McGuinness’ new show comes at a difficult time for the presenter. A fortnight ago, two of his shows — Catchpoint and I Can See Your Voice were axed by channel 4.
Before that ITV‘s popular game show Take Me Out which was hosted by Paddy got axed after 11 seasons in 2020. Hopefully, Paddy can pick up the pace with his latest game show.
