The world has always had its share of coldhearted individuals, but some people still manage to surprise with how heartless they can be. One Whataburger manager in Texas has a pet dog named Jasper, who gets a photo taken every year for school picture day. The cute doggy has quite the eventful life, as he “goes to airports, special needs daycares, retirement homes, and schools where kids read books to him.” Yet another employee, who perhaps doesn’t like the manager or dogs, decided to take things out on Jasper’s photos and scratched his eyes out.

According to the manager, he had put up a second photo of Jasper at the request of other coworkers who thought the pet dog was adorable. “Not trying to shove my dog down everyone’s throat, just a cute picture to look at,” he explained. Yet, someone vandalized the photos, but fortunately, they were caught red-handed on camera. “I know who did it after looking at cameras and it was a member of management that is my own age(an adult),” the manager said on Reddit. Some in the comments thought it could have been the work of a teenager working at the Whataburger, but it turns out to be a grown individual.

Reddit users in the comment section began to theorize why the other manager would do such an awful thing. “Anyone who does that to a dogs pic has definitely got some sociopathic tendencies,” remarks one commenter. “ABSOLUTELY someone there hates their life enough to scratch the eyes out of a picture of a cute dog,” said another. However, the Whataburger manager has replied in a comment, claiming that he has no problems with the culprit. In fact, they were hired at the same time, and the manager even went out of his way to drive the coworker to a corporate manager meeting.

In the end, as several in the comment section put it, the only solution would be to confront the coworker manager about the incident. And then hopefully, the other manager never vandalizes the cute photos of Jasper again.
