There is great potential news on the horizon for fans of the indie hit The Binding of Isaac. There are rumblings that the game is very likely coming to both iPhones and iPads.
This game in particular, is wrapped in a fair deal of mystery and fan speculation, so take this news with a grain of salt, as of this point there has been no direct official confirmation, but the evidence of this port is so thorough that if it were not for the potential for this all to be a part of some bizarre Alternate Reality promotion, it would definitely be confirmed. Either way, let’s take a look at the evidence we have.
Tyrone Rodriguez, the founder of Nicalis, the company that helped produce The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, the revamped re-release of the game, responded to being asked if they had ever considered bringing the game to mobile consoles with the tweet featured below, which includes what appears to be a picture of the game running on an iPhone.

Then, earlier this week, Rodriguez posted a Vine showing The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth being played on an iPhone using a Bluetooth controller.
And finally in a recent interview, the game’s creator, Edmund McMillen said this:
“Work on The Binding of Isaac presses on, though. There’s a version coming for iPhone and iPad. Another expansion, Afterbirth+, will add mod support, a bestiary, and more. Chances are, there’ll be some new secrets, too.”
Does this excite all of the iPhone and iPad users out there? Are you more interested in Afterbirth+ which may feature all kinds of new crazy things? Do you think this is all part of McMillen’s elaborate mind games? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments.
