Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene’s relationship has taken the world by storm. The couple had only been public for a short time before they officially tied the knot on Sept. 26. Although not many details about their nuptials have been revealed, the cost of Lana Del Rey’s wedding dress has seemingly been confirmed. You’ll never believe how much she spent.
Lana Del Rey’s Wedding Dress Was Surprisingly Cheap
Unlike other celebrities who splurge hundreds of thousands or even millions on their big day, the “Summertime Sadness” singer opted to keep things economical. According to TMZ, Lana Del Rey’s wedding dress was a cheap thrift find. She was rumored to have bought it from Vintage Market by Trashy Diva back in May. The boutique is a local store located in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is the state where Dufrene currently resides.
While the exact price of Lana Del Rey’s wedding dress is unknown, it’s estimated she spent around $400. TMZ reports that Vintage Market has a collection of wedding dresses. Although they all range in style, they’re typically no more than a few hundred dollars.
Fans had a lot to say about the price tag on Reddit. One person theorized the singer chose a low-budget for her wedding dress in case her marriage to Dufrene didn’t work out. “She knows she will divorce him one day so why bother,” someone wrote. Meanwhile, another thought her decision was due to her not caring for over-the-top looks. “Lana LOVES a bargain, pretty sure she has been seen on the red carpet in dresses from the mall,” they said.
It appears Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene didn’t want their wedding to be too flashy. It’s not surprising considering their relationship has also been low-key. According to People, the couple also opted to have a small “family-focused” wedding celebration where the “focus was just on their love story.” Instead of having their wedding ceremony and reception in different locations, the pair knocked two birds with one stone by holding their festivities “in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours.”
“This is where they first met. It’s a special place for them,” a source told the publication.
