The Among Us animated series is rounding out its cast with a whole host of new names! Not long after the show released a cast list last month, a new announcement has added Debra Wilson, Patton Oswalt, Phil LaMarr, and Wayne Knight to the lineup. They have a great deal of experience in voice acting and live-action acting between them, and if the reports are to be believed, they’re all going to be playing 100% trustworthy crewmates. But, as anyone familiar with Among Us can tell you, an impostor can be anyone. So, the question remains: is one of these new faces the impostor?
Patton Oswalt and Debra Wilson Join ‘Among Us’ As Brightly Colored Crewmates
For anyone who’s somehow unfamiliar, Among Us is a social deception game where someone among your brightly-colored, vaguely bean-shaped friends is really an alien impostor who’s tasked with killing everyone else on the spaceship, base, or airship. The popularity of the game skyrocketed at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has since reached peak meme status. The Among Us animated series entered development in the summer of 2023 with Owen Dennis, creator of Infinity Train, at the helm.
Titmouse, the studio behind The Legend of Vox Machina and Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse, will be handling the animation for Among Us, and from what we’ve seen so far, the show looks charmingly similar to the animation in the game. Last month, they announced that Dan Stevens, Kimiko Glenn, Liv Hewson, Ashley Johnson, Randall Park, Elijah Wood, and Yvette Nicole Brown will be starring as the voices for the blue, cyan, black, purple, red, green, and orange characters, respectively. In an effort to preserve the suspense, they were all labeled as crewmates, and the same is true for the show’s newest additions.
A new announcement has added four new names to the cast. Debra Wilson, the voice of Cere in the Star Wars Jedi games, will star as the Yellow Crewmate. Patton Oswalt, who starred as Dr. Hubert Wartzki in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and the voice of Remy in Ratatouille, will star as the White Crewmate. Phil LaMarr, who appeared as Marvin in Pulp Fiction and in various Futurama roles, will be the Brown Crewmate. Wayne Knight, who was Nedry in Jurassic Park, and Marcel in Infinity Train, will be the Lime Crewmate.
Are any of them secretly the impostor, or are they victims-to-be? The only way to find out will be to keep a close eye on the Among Us series – and its cast – as it continues development.
