Unfortunately for fans of The Republic of Sarah, the series show has been canceled. In an Instagram post, Jeffrey Paul King, the creator of the show, announced the news. The show ran from June until September of this year on the CW. The 13th and final episode is set to premiere on September 6, 2021.

Jeffrey Paul King has a long list of credits to his name. According to his IMBD page, he’s worked as a producer and writer for projects such as The Republic of Sarah and Elementary.

The Republic of Sarah Story Details

Republic of Sarah

When her town is threatened, Sarah springs into action to save it. The only way she can think to save it is through a loophole. She has her town declare independence from the United States, and it becomes its own country. Quickly, Sarah and the townspeople realize being independent will be a lot harder than they thought. It’s up to Sarah and her friends to navigate this strange new adventure.

The series included actors such as Stella Baker and Luke Mitchell. Stella is known for her previous work in Tell Me Your Secrets. Luke has previously been a part of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Blindspot. Other notable personnel includes veteran actors Megan Follows and Xander Berkeley.

The show isn’t the only one that has been canceled in 2021. Other shows that aren’t going to get a second season include Mixed-ish, Prodigal Son, and American Gods. On the CW Network, more shows had their final seasons in 2021. However, these endings were announced before their seasons began. Both Supergirl and Black Lightning had their final seasons this year, but it didn’t come as a surprise to fans of the shows.

Although The Republic of Sarah series is canceled, it could live somewhere else. Recently, Manifest had been canceled by NBC. However, Netflix picked it up for a fourth and final season. Who knows if The Republic of Sarah can have a second chance like this.
