The challenges that players can get themselves into in The Sims 4 can be intense. There’s the Decades Challenge, the Off The Grid Challenge, and the Baby Challenge. While some of these are really just roleplaying, others require a lot more work. This includes the Baby Challenge which requires you to have 100 babies to complete. While that may be impossible for an actual human, who says that you can’t complete the Baby Challenge in The Sims 4?!

It isn’t entirely impossible to do the Baby Challenge in The Sims 4. Realistically, the challenge doesn’t state that it has to be one mother birthing all these babies but rather, trying to have all 100 babies in as few generations as possible. To be clear, this isn’t a legacy challenge even though generational growth is still an aspect of it. To successfully execute the challenge, you need to start off by ensuring that every Sims’ lifespan is set to normal as well as the age filter.

Beyond that, the rules are pretty self-explanatory with a few twists including the fact that the matriarch may not get pregnant by the same donor twice and that the donors may not move into the matriarch’s home or help with the babies. Of course, since the age filters need to be turned on, there are a few rules for aging up. To start, babies cannot be aged up until the player gets a notification saying that it is their birthday. Toddlers can be aged up when they reach level three in all of their toddler skills and children and teens can be aged up after they get an A in school.

When the Sim becomes a young adult, they can be moved out of the house to make room for more children but they cannot be moved back in. A dead Sim that has turned into a ghost may not be allowed back into the main home and if the matriarch who you started this challenge with becomes too old to bear children, the responsibility goes to the youngest female in the home.

100 Baby Challenge Rules

  • The player may not cheat using mods or anything else that will give an unfair advantage.
  • Ensure that the age filter is turned on at the main home.
  • All Sims’ lifespans must be set to normal.
  • Players must not interfere with in-game events in an attempt to increase a Sims’ lifespan. This includes saving Sims from death or even bringing them back to life.
  • The matriarch may not have a career that forces her to leave the lot.
  • You may hire any NPC as long as they are not a Nanny or a Caterer.
  • The matriarch may not get married until after she can no longer have children.
  • The matriarch cannot get pregnant by the same person twice (I know).
  • None of the donors who helped create the baby may move into the home or do anything to help take care of the baby (Again, I know).
  • Any adopted children do not count towards the final baby count.
  • After Patch 17, the matriarch may not influence the gender of their baby in any way.
  • The traits that the baby is born with can also not be altered in any way.
