EA’s Motive Studio is known for making the Dead Space games a very successful franchise, all things considered. The recent Dead Space Remake has also done extremely well since its release in January of this year. After that, Motive Studio has set its sights outside the horror genre and is hard at work making an Iron Man game and plans on using Unreal Engine 5. Motive Studio has been working on Iron Man and has been known for some time now, and some leaks have also hinted at it being an open-world game. Considering how other superhero games like Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 and RockSteady’s Batman Arkham series do things, an open world is a necessity for a superhero like Iron Man.
Motive Studio has now officially confirmed that it is fully focused on Iron Man and the game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5. This should come as great news for players, as Unreal Engine 5 has reached new heights in terms of realism, all while making development easier and improving performance.
EA’s Motive Studio’s Iron Man Game Will Be On Unreal Engine 5
The project has not gotten an official name yet, and since it is still in pre-production, there isn’t much to show at this point. For now, the foundation is being laid for what the game will end up being. With this in mind, the release window will unlikely be revealed anytime soon. So, for anyone who was expecting a reveal soon, you’ll have to wait for a long time.
What we do know about the Iron Man game is that it will be a third-person single-player action-adventure game. And that’s about it. Although it hasn’t been confirmed to be open-world, it more than likely will be.
The studio has created a Community Council that is tasked with giving feedback on how the game is shaping up during the development process. EA did the exact same thing when remaking Dead Space, and that forced developers to go back to the drawing board to fix some pervasive issues. And considering how well it turned out, EA might be on to something.
